Four Seasons - a journey through colour & shadow

A textile exhibition by Laura Jordan
Kildare Town Heritage Centre, Market Square, Kildare Town
Fri. 26th Sept. – Fri. 31st Oct. 2014, 9.30a.m – 5.00p.m

Laura’s next exhibition is a solo show for Kildare Town Heritage Centre, and explores the cycle of life, with birth, death and rebirth featuring in the four main seasonal pieces. The year’s journey begins with spring, with soft greens and silvers, and bursts of pink buds. Summer opens with a riot of colour exploding into life. Autumn glides in, with its coat of rich golds and burgundies reminding us of sunset, a warning that the close approaches. Winter ends the year, with the bare branches shown in browns and beiges. Metallic touches suggest a coat of raindrops and frost. Tiny beads remind us that spring approaches, and the circle of life continues.
The show closes with the Four Seasons entwined in one cycle. More Details...
